We had the pleasure of hosting our very first networking event, “Mimosas, Mocktails, and Mingling: Networking for Balloon Professionals,” and it was a spectacular success! As balloon artists ourselves, we understand the importance of connecting with fellow professionals in the industry, sharing insights, and building a supportive community. With special guest Sara Meyer from the Bright Balloon Podcast and twisting demos by the incredible Derek Wong, it was an event to remember. After 10+ years as balloon instructors and over 24 years in this incredible industry, this was the first event we had the pleasure of hosting ourselves, and it was anything but an average class.

The atmosphere was buzzing with creativity and camaraderie as attendees indulged in delicious brunch from Paul and his team at Magnolia Event Boutique. From engaging discussions on various business aspects led by Sara Meyer from the Bright Balloon Podcast, to mesmerizing twisting demos by the incredible Derek Wong, there was something for everyone to enjoy and learn from.

One of the highlights of the event was the opportunity for attendees to not only network but also level up their skills with in-person burning questions with Sara, combined with a relaxing hand massages available to everyone, courtesy of RMT Sam Romano, all while discussing strategies to enhance their balloon businesses. It was heartwarming to see artists coming together, exchanging ideas, and forming valuable connections.

We extend a heartfelt thank you to our generous sponsors: Premium Conwin, Qualatex, Clik-Clik, and SKS. Your support played a crucial role in making this event possible and ensuring its success. Also, special thanks to Dory and her team at Shutterb for capturing the event.

My sister and I are thrilled to have been able to facilitate this gathering and witness the genuine enthusiasm and support among our peers. In an industry where collaboration is key, events like these serve as a catalyst for growth and innovation. As we always say, “We are all in this together.” We all share the same struggles. In an industry where many of us are solopreneurs or co-owners, it is so important to create a sense of community to have others realize they are not alone.

Looking ahead, we are already planning our next networking event, eager to continue fostering a community of like-minded professionals. Be sure to follow us on social media or subscribe to receive email updates on all our upcoming classes and events. Together, let’s elevate our craft and support each other every step of the way.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for making our first networking event a memorable and rewarding experience. Here’s to many more gatherings filled with inspiration, connection, and collaboration!
